THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE POEM ''AS I GREW OLDER'' AND THE SONG ''EBONY AND IVORY''

The song "As I Grew Older" talks about a child with dreams on better place to live in, that as he grew older he understood that this is impossible to fulfill his dreams. An wall rose up between the speaker and his dream, until it touched the sky. The speaker wants to broke this thick and tall wall but he can't because of his black hands. This showed situation represents at us metaphorical an social barrier that there is in front of the black people that trying be contained in the society where they live. As we know, the writer is Langston Hughes, and in his own life he exposed to gaps, discrimination and even racism against the African-American race.
The writer dreamed about racial equality, and he shows his fighting by the writing and literature.

While Hughes talks about broken dreams, there are the song "Ebony and Ivory" that represents the wanted and unfounded reality with using metaphorically two materials whom we can realize clearly their difference by their color appearance - black&white.
With this used metaphor the speaker tells that there is a way live together in a perfect harmony although the difference. "why don't we?" - this question making us think about the social problem  as something that could be solved. The ebony and the ivory that lives together on a piano symbol way not only to live together, but rather create a perfect harmony.
The speaker tells us optimistically  that we can actually connect and unit each race to other.

I'm going to tell you about me. You are going to know me better by linkage to criteria like how do I spend my time? is there special hobby? and more....  

First of all, I'm glad to know that there is place like this to write about your self without being hurried by other people when they trying listen to you.

Who knows me know that the first thing that I am going to do at the first free minute of free time that it to sleep. Yes, this is my way to spend and pass free time. So, am I sleepy person? undoubtedly, the answer is - yes.

But, in other hand- I am very active person!

I like participate in competitions and races that make my Adrenalin rise over my peace of mind or even over my relaxed sanity. I am very competitive person against others. But not perfectionist at all. If I would live alone in this world I would not try to get my best. What makes me fight for my grades and assignments is the compare with others that always with me in my life.

FOR ME - PLAYING ON GUITAR IT IS LIKE ESCAPE OF THE REALITY .

There is one hobby that makes me feel relaxed and fills me with best feeling ever-playing on my guitar.

Its like put all yours problems aside and remove all my bed feelings from head and heart, and just being there and play loud that everyone could hear what I have to say by no words, with only chords and rhythm.

"A GOOD NAME IS BETTER THAN RICHES."

HELLO EVERYONE!

I was asked by my teacher to English choose one of the following writing tasks that she gave us, and write it in this site format.

The one I chose is: 

"Write a short story which could suit one of the proverbs you have learned."

So here it is:

In our days, there is one man named Roni.

Roni lives in Israel, Tel-Aviv near to sea.

Roni loves making money, He even feels excited to hold bills in his hands.

The loving money grows during the passed days until one day- Roni decided to make money in the easiest way. He took his phone and called to his best friend, Guy.

They both planned scam that included theft and hurting others by snatch their money.

They did it.

While all this happened, Roni was in relationship with woman named Ema.

Today, Ema lives with her husband - Bony Ali.

Ema chose living her all life with someone that keep his goodness without succumbing grid.

This story represent the proverb:

"A GOOD NAME IS BETTER THAN RICHES."

- as you can to guess.
